The African continent, rich in natural resources, with fast growing economies and a young growing population has potential to be a global economic powerhouse. Inspired by this backdrop, the KIW 2024 - Africa Edition will bring together relevant African stakeholders including the African Union, African Economic Communities, Local Governments, Academia, Innovators, Private Sector, Development Partners, Media and Civil Society to learn, share experiences and provide insights on enhancing the African Innovation Ecosystem with the overall goal of championing cohesiveness and collective prosperity for the African people. For the African Union to achieve its Agenda 63 ‘The Africa we want’ characterized by inclusive and sustainable development driven by its own citizens, the youth need to be involved. The KIW 2024 has programs in place that will inspire and engage young people who are naturally energetic, brimming with ideas and looking to contribute towards socio-economic development, to come up with innovations that will propel Africa to the next economic frontier.
